Hey Steve-O! Doing the Cinderblock Basement with Aframe on top, I saw that website where the trusses went down like dominoes! I plan to brace the HELL out of them for just that reason, cuz they are gonna be BIGGER than that guys! I told Dan at southeast what I wanted and he drew up the plans, It was what I needed to get the building permit, and I can make my changes to the plan and build accordingly, nothing big, but maybe a closet or two extra, and some bathroom plans (no Jacuzzi, but do a a BIG shower! It turned out good, and my neighbor is awesome when it comes to the design and engineering part, so I am relying on him alot. You should do the smaller size for a weekend place, Im gonna live in mine, maybe REAL soon if the economy tanks any more! 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Yes I don't want a huge size but.... I do want to live in mine someday... maybe.... electric is still a few years off and I guess I would need to figure out the water. A well would be a small fortune to drill. But retirement for me is 10-15 years off so I have some time. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

We found a Park Camper in West Jefferson. I'm trying to get it moved to DC before Thanksgiving. Then comes the well, septic, electric and a big deck. I understand I'll have to get a home phone to get a 911 address.

In twelve months I retire and we'll call the mountains home!
